The purpose of this site is to expose the rich media and cultural environments of a seldom heard-about Central Asian country, whose citizens may have different views toward and uses for the media. By studying the media landscape of Tajikistan, one gains knowledge about government control of media, how social media sites are used to connect families and to spark political change, and how global news sources often stereotypes countries. Tajikistan may not be a widely-known media producing country, but there are valuable lessons to be learned from analyzing its media environment.
