Bursting with Culture

This project focuses around the media landscape in Iceland. But how can a person understand the media and how it is received in a society without learning about the culture that is receiving it? Iceland is bursting with culture: from its traditional dishes to its beautiful Icelandic music. Every aspect of the Icelandic culture has an impact on Icelandic life, too. Food, health, and happiness are intertwined in a number of ways, so it makes sense that one would seek to understand the facts of a culture in order to learn the anthropology as well.

This section explores the distinctive media, arts, and cultural environment that Iceland exists in. Through listening to Icelandic music, one will discover interesting, distinctive, and unique media, arts, and cultural features of Icelanders. By watching a video about food in Iceland, one can start to realize why Icelanders have such high happiness statistics and fairly good health. Looking at the gallery of photos can put some of the research and statistics into perspective. So click some of these sections and start to make sense of all of the numbers.
