(The top 25 column is excluded here since the AP and UPI polls do not list any teams outside of the top 20.)
Commentary: This year the Rewards system matches the polls quite accurately, though teams #2-#4 are in slightly different order, but the polls couldn't decide who was #2 or #4 as well. On average, the top 10 teams were only off by one spot when comparing their position in the Rewards ranking and the polls, though the teams appearing as #15-#20 in the polls didn't agree with where Rewards placed them. Ignoring (i.e. removing) the three teams on probation, Oklahoma (7-4-1) was the team with the largest discrepancy, ending up #26 in the Rewards ranking, though they were voted as the #17 team in the AP poll (those three teams on probation were removed from the final AP ranking, and all others were bumped up to arrive at this number) and #14 in the UPI (where teams on probation can't be voted for).
