Recent research has involved a return to environmental threads -- much of the research connects closely with my teaching at Saint Michael's -- check the CV for recent presentations, encyclopedia entries and other working papers. Most recent work involves teaching/research related to Superfund and the Toxic Resources Inventory; Working Landscapes and Land Use Change; and Planning and Adaptation to Climate Change.
I was awarded a research sabbatical to focus on the role of conservation easements in preservation and conservation efforts in 2014.
A current research project involves exploring local scale governance issues related to resiliency to extreme events from climate change.
