Joel Epee is Diane Chebab and Epee Ellong's nephew who is twenty-four and lives in Cameroon. He answered some questions about life in Cameroon with little knowledge of English.

Q: I am interested in hearing about life in Cameroon. I am doing a project about media and culture there. I was wondering if you could tell me a little bit about your life and family in Cameroon. Where do you live?
A: Then I live in Cameroun with Douala more precisely.

Q: What kinds of activities do you do for fun?
A: I do not have fun much considering my marital status, but when I have time, I play football with the basketball, the plays games, I ballade and when I have a little money i will drink with friends.

Q: How is sports a part of culture in Cameroon?
A: The sports kings in Cameroun are Football, the basketball and the handball, but maintaining people like also tennis. Thus in the culture Cameroonians football has very large significant because it is a language of communication between the young people and it allows some which to nourish itself. 

Q: What are the main sources of media you read, watch or listen to?
A: I almost do not read the newspapers, but I view much since there is the satellite which gives us the chains local and external (CRTV, TF1, FRANCE2, CNN, ESPN, international Canal2, info sport, CHANNEL + etc…) 

Q: What are the dominant newspapers and TV shows in Cameroon? Can you trust what you hear in the news?
A: The dominant newspapers in Cameroun are: The POPOLI, The MESSENGER, CHANGE, and DIKALO. And the chains the TV one are: CRTV, Channel 2; RTM, EQUINOX.

Q: What is your favorite musician or type of music?
A: My preferred musician Cameroonians is Richard BONA, if not I also like of the guy like Kerry James, 50 Cent.... And with dimensions music’s I like the RAP and the R&B, and the Soul music

Q:What are your views on politics in Cameroon and also your view of culture and politics in the U.S.
A:You know here the United States it is the strong nation, all the world would like go it low, but most beautiful it is that we are content that Obama is with the capacity, we hope that it much will bring for the black community not only to the USA, but throughout the world. Just also knows that Cameroun is a host country in which the foreigner always smell himself at ease then if Ca say to you one day to come there does not hesitate you will not be disappointed and knows that my life is not the same one at all the world here.
