I would not volunteer for this INGO. PCI-Media Impact does a lot of good things with the spread of knowledge through digital media, but I don't believe this is always effective. The only countries that benefit from this program currently are those that already have some sort of media basis to spring off of. This is effective in those areas, but fails to translate to poorer countries.
I hope to see PCI-Media Impact grow in the future. I believe that eventually they will have the support needed to focus on poorer countries that truly need media in their every day lives.
Overall, I can't find many negative things about PCI-Media Impact because of the awareness it has spread. Thanks to this program underlying issues of society have been surfaced. Issues like teen sexuality has led to an increase in health awareness in everywhere from Kenya to China to Guatemala. It is a great thing to see.
