(There were only 15 teams which appeared in the top 20 in both polls, and the listing of other teams getting votes was not available, therefore, the table can only hold "statistics" for the top 10 this year.)
Commentary: Rewards matched the polls' top five (and top ten) fairly well this year, but had Clemson (17-10) as the #46 team though they finished #14 in the AP, and #19 in the UPI. (Given the Tigers record, perhaps the voters overlooked some of those ten losses because of a couple of strong ACC wins?) Princeton (18-8) was ranked #12 in the final AP poll, and Rewards ranked them only as the #68 team (primarily because of their 8 losses) before they won the NIT tournament, and those four wins moved them up to #44 in the final Rewards ranking. Drake won the NCIT tournament, and moved up from #73 to #57. Central Michigan went 2-1 in the NCAAs, and moved up from #23 to #16 in the Rewards rankings; they had been unranked in both polls.
