Commentary: Rewards had the top two teams correct, and three of the next top five were off by only one position. The win over Arizona boosted BoiseSt to #8 in the final Rewards ranking, though they ended up #16 in both polls; Arizona's win over #2 Oregon in the regular season kept them high in the final Rewards ranking (#10), though said loss to BoiseSt dropped them to #19/#17 in the polls.
GeorgiaTech's win over MississippiSt moved them up to #7/#8 in the polls, but only #13 according to Rewards while the voters also weren't as impressed with Marshall's 13-1 record, ranking them as the #23/#22 team, while Rewards had them as #16.
