  Age-Sex Population make-up of Vermont Counties contains age-sex population pyramids for each of Vermont's counties, which were created using Census 2000.  These pyramids are useful in understanding the makeup of each county's population in terms of sex and age.  They can also be useful in projecting the potential of future population growth.   Compare the pyramids of counties in different regions of the state and discuss with your students why such differences exist.

Vermont Climate shows precipitation levels and a clickable set of climagraphs for selected locations in the state.  Notice how the state has considerable variation in average annual precipitation and how seasonality is revealed in the climagraph displays.
