Everyone is invited to our special day to celebrate geography!

We are back at the American Legion this year.  We were there two years ago and had a good experience.

Join us for a great morning in Middlebury celebrating geography projects from around the state!  Whether you have a Geo-Capsule on an Asian country from our contest this year, a table-top display on a class project, or a performance, come share it with us and give your students a chance to shine!  Festivities include the ever popular scavenger hunt for geographical facts among the exhibits, and performances scheduled throughout the morning on the stage.  Free t-shirts are available for all exhibitors whose registration form is postmarked by March 14.  Teachers who bring an exhibit will receive a free Vermont Atlas and a t-shirt.

TO REGISTER:

Click here for a PDF of the form, print, fill out and mail-in or register on-line on here.

Registrations received after March 14th will be accepted on a first-come, first serve basis, if space is available.  You will receive a confirmation letter by March 21.  Anyone submitting a question for the scavenger hunt will be given a free rubber stamp and pad to use at the Fair.  These can be taken home with you!

 PLANNING YOUR EXHIBIT:

Tables are 8-feet long this year. Classes normally use one table for their exhibit. Presentation space (for plays, etc.) is on a stage at one end of the Hall, and performances will be scheduled there throughout the morning.  Electric outlets are available, but this year we will not be able to provide bulletin boards, tripod easels, VCR/TVs, or computers.

Please plan to bring your own if they need them. If you bring a videotape, please bring a second copy as a backup. Food in exhibits will be allowed this year.

The Day of the Fair:

Set-up begins at 9:30 a.m., and all exhibits should be removed from the Hall by 12:45 p.m. We ask that at least one student stay with your exhibit at all times during the fair. An adult/child ratio of 1/10 or less is recommended. Indoor picnic space will be provided after the fair for school groups bringing their own cold lunches and drinks.  Please sign up on the registration form if you would like a table set up for your group for a picnic lunch.  Picnic lunch area closes at 12:45.
