VGA GeoFair 2006

The VGA GeoFair took place on March 31st at the American Legion Hall in Middlebury.  Our hosts did a great job of setting up tables.  There was plenty of space this year.  The Legion was packed to the gills with geographical excitement.  More than one hundred and fifty students, teachers and parents pored over an array of displays.  We had posters, models, music, dancing, a quiz show and running water!  While the atmosphere was sometimes crazy, a whole lot of learning and fun was going on.   In addition to participants themselves, additional visitors came over before the Geography Bee State Finals. 

It was hectic but it was geography at its best.   Put your thinking caps on for projects related to the 2006 Geography Awareness Theme:  Africa.  Look out for workshops on geography during the summer or at the VTNEA conference in the Fall.
