Standard  M:6  Mental Arithmetic

Introduction: 

Standard 6 refers to student's ability to compute and calculate mentally without the use of other resources such as pencil and paper of a calculator.

Kindergarten

MK: 6   No MK: 6 at this grade level

First Grade

M1: 6   Mentally adds and subtracts whole-number facts through ten with accuracy

Second Grade

M2: 6 Mentally adds and subtracts whole-numbers facts through twenty with accuracy.

Third grade

M3: 6 Mentally adds and subtracts whole-numbers facts through twenty with accuracy.

Fourth Grade

M4: 6 Mentally adds and subtracts whole numbers through twenty and mulltiplies whole numbers through twelve with accuracy.

Fifth grade

M5: 6 Mentally multiplies and divides whole numbers through twelve with accuracy.
