There are several possible course sequences to fulfill the major requirements. Consult with your Education
and Liberal Studies advisors to determine which one will work for you.

    (LS300 Tech for Teachers can be taken at the same time as ED300 for 1 Ed. elective credit)

 

Take and pass all three sections of Praxis I by the end of the sophomore year

Junior

If you are studying abroad this semester take ED300 in your sophomore year, ED325 and ED331 the other junior semester and ED340 as a senior.

Also, you must take 5 credits (at least 2 courses) of education electives to complete the Elementary Education Major requirements. (See list of possible education elective courses).

 

NOTE:  Students are required to have a 3.0 overall GPA,  a 3.0 GPA in Education courses and a 2.7 GPA in the Lberal Arts major before student teaching and at graduation.
