ONLINE CATALOGS:

Library Catalog

University of Vermont's Online Catalog

WorldCat
Covers all the world's libraries.
*-you may ILL documents  that SMC does not own electronically from this database

INTERLIBRARY LOAN (ILL)
  • Students may request materials (journal articles, books) not available in the SMC library through ILL.  It is important that ILL is done early in your research project as it may take from 10 to 14 days for the materials to be delivered to the SMC Library.
  • Note: Though you may not take books out of the UVM Library, you may photocopy journal articles there.  You may not use any of UVM's electronic sources or indexes, so do the major portion of your research at SMC, then go over to UVM with your sources in hand.

You may start the ILL process by either:

1. Most of the SMC Library databases will link to a form to request materials that are not available full text or in print

2. ONLINE Form is available to submit electronically

Citation Searching

Google Scholar - Search your article. To view articles that have cited the desired article or book, click on the Cited by... link under the citation.
