Cycle 1 |

·
Watch
the movie 12 Angry Men (preferably the old, Henry Fonda
version) and select scenes illustrating group role behaviors. |
|
·
Using
heavy 8½ X 11 (or A4)
paper and flat, paint stirring sticks, make signs displaying the names
of group role behaviors. |
|
·
Insist
on having class run as a fishbowl at least 30 minutes per week. |
|
·
During
fishbowl hold up signs indicating instances of specific group behavior. |
|
·
Delegate
this duty; i.e., have others perform it. |
|
·
Using
the Group Role Behaviors Chart, have members observe others' group
behavior and submit data to you. |
|
·
Collect
the data so that during your presentation you can give each person a
statistical profile of his or her group role behavior. |
|
·
Post
and maintain a graph of 3 kinds of behavior |
Cycle 2 |
|
·
Distribute
a rubric using path/goal theory |
|
·
Have
observers track leadership behavior and describe particular leadership
efforts using the path/goal theory. |
