All
students are strongly encouraged to spend one or two semesters taking undergraduate
classes in an
international environment. |
Program Types:
Language Programs can provide skills
for completing the Second Language Proficiency Requirement in languages taught at Saint
Michael's (French, German, Italian, Japanese, Russian, Spanish) or for developing another
language. Students also take liberal studies courses in either the target language or in
English.
University Programs offer a wide
variety of liberal studies courses at international universities.
Field Study Programs give students a
hands-on academic semester, often in developing countries, focused on culture and
development, ecology and conservation, peace and conflict studies, etc.
Internship Programs allow students
to test potential professions by taking a full-semester of courses plus an extensive
academic internship in a specific field such as business, psychology or journalism.
