Required for the Spanish Major (minimum 33 credits):

SP 201*
SP 202*
SP 243*		 Expresión escrita (4 credits)
Conversación avanzada (5 credits)
Estudios literarios (4 credits)
and choose:

at least 21 additional credits in Spanish at the 201 level or above; among these may be included ALC credits earned in Spanish.  Majors are required to take at least two courses at the 300-400 level, not counting Senior Seminar, here at Saint Michael's College.

*The sequence of these courses is: 201, 202, 243.  Students may enroll out of sequence only by permission of the instructor.

 

Required for the Spanish Minor:

Minimum of 20 credits at the 240 level or above (courses must be taught in Spanish);
among these may be included ALC credits earned in Spanish.  At least two of these courses must be taken here at Saint Michael's College.

 

It is recommended that all majors and minors
study at least one semester or summer
in a Spanish-speaking country.
