Minor in East Asian Studies

The East Asian Studies minor is an interdisciplinary program that provides students with an opportunity to explore the culture, history, and languages of East and South Asia.

East Asian Courses

A minimum of twenty-one credits from a combination of courses listed below, which must include at least one course in the areas other than History and Languages.  If a student chooses to include courses in Japanese, then they should be at the 200 level or above.  If a student chooses to concentrate on the study of South Asia, he/she should take at least three courses in that area.  Credits earned from courses taken at other institutions should not exceed half of the total credits required for this major.
