Course objectives:
- To help you become information and technology
literate, including how to critically analyze and evaluate educational
software
- To become familiar with some of the major information
resources in education research and teaching
- To explore ways future teachers can incorporate
technology into their curriculums by using FrontPage, Publisher, and
PowerPoint
Class policies
- Attendance is mandatory and assignments will be based
on material covered in class. Missing more than one class will have a
negative impact on your final grade
- Assignments given in class are due the next class
unless otherwise specified. Late assignments will be marked down a full
grade for every day they are overdue. You may need to start assignments in
advance to avoid the possibilities of computer problems
- The SMC academic integrity policy applies and is
supported
- The syllabus may change at the discretion of the
instructor
- Learning differences may be accommodated if I am
notified and a satisfactory plan is agreed on
Grading
- Grading is based on the quality of your assignments,
on your attendance, and participation in class. There is no final exam.
