RS 220 Christianity and Modernity: Assessment
EVALUATION
1. AN EXAM ON PART 1: CHRISTIANITY AND SCIENCE (30%) to take place at the end of Part 1 of the course.
2. A EXAM ON PART 2: CHRISTIANITY AND RELIGIOUS PLURALISM (30%) to take place during exam week at the end of the semester.
3. A RESEARCH PAPER of approximately 8 PAGES on a topic assigned to you by the professor and a presentation on your paper together with 2 or 3 other students who have researched the same topic. The final date for submission of papers is November 25 but the presentations will take place after the Thanksgiving break. (30%)
4. CLASS PARTICIPATION (10%):
attendance record
punctuality
attentiveness in class
asking questions inside or outside of class
participation in group discussion
making use of the Professor's office hours
overall, I will judge your Class Participation grade on the level of enthusiasm which you show towards your learning.
NOTE: If you have a documented learning disability you may have an extra 15 minutes (=25%) on each exam.
