Bio:
Jeffrey Ayres, Professor and Chair in the Department of Political
Science, teaches and specializes in international relations and
international and comparative political economy, focusing especially on
globalization processes including transnational civil society and global
and regional governance. Additional research interests include social
movements and Canadian/North American politics. He is the author of
Defying Conventional Wisdom: Political Movements and Popular Contention
Against North American Free Trade (Toronto 1998), as well as
articles, book chapters and reviews on the above topics.
