1997 Moscow and Paris Study Trips
These affordable "fact-finding missions" are short courses to examine the political, economic and social conditions of Russia's transition and/or of the construction of a unified Europe. They use lecture-discussions, field trips, informal experiences and spontaneous contacts. This will be the 17th year of the Moscow trips and a revival of the Paris program offered from 1976-1984.
The Russian host, since 1980, has been the Academy of Labor & Social Relations, which arranges the educational and cultural program, accommodations, interpreters, etc. The University of Paris VIII is the principal host in France, but there will also be visits to an "educational farm" in the Jura mountains and seminars at international organizations in Brussels.
