Writing for Media II: (JO205): More complicated stories, more independent newsgathering.

Mass Media in A Diverse Society (JO271): Course examines the portrayal of minorities in the media.

History of American Media (JO311): Survey course in the development of the American media.

Literature of Journalism (JO319):  Topics have included Vermont dairy farmers; The Old North End,  the poorest  neighborhood in Burlington, Vermont; and the Akwesasne Native American tribe in northern New York.

Cultural Influences of World Mass Media (JO319): Course in communication policies and practices in  nations around the world, with a particular focus on Third World countries.
