Douglas S. Green, Ph.D.
Professor of Biology

My main interests are evolutionary biology, ecology, computer modeling, and the development of software tools that promote independent learning.  Most recently I've become interested in the "evo-devo" interactions of higher plants, and bioinformatics.

I teach three upper level courses:  comparative vertebrate anatomy, evolutionary biology, and bioinformatics.  I also participate in our introductory and service courses.

My current research examines the genetic structure of forests and the spatial patterns of reproduction for individual trees.
