My main interests are evolutionary biology, ecology, computer modeling, and the development of software tools that promote independent learning. Most recently I've become interested in the "evo-devo" interactions of higher plants, and bioinformatics. I teach three upper level courses: comparative vertebrate anatomy, evolutionary biology, and bioinformatics. I also participate in our introductory and service courses. My current research examines the genetic structure of forests and the spatial patterns of reproduction for individual trees. |
