 Undergraduate research supervised (since 1990):

Diet selectivity of White Perch (Morone americana) in Lake Champlain.  Alex Miller.  2009-10.  This project examined diet selectivity by White Perch in Missisquoi Bay, and also considered whether diets had changed since the increase in population of Alewife.  Alex presented his research in a poster at the 66th Annual Meeting of the Northeast Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies.

Diet overlap between native yellow perch and invasive white perch in Lake Champlain.  Jeff White. 2006, 2007.  This research was supported by the Saint Michael's College Hartnett endowment and the Lake Champlain Research Consortium.  Jeff presented  posters on his research at the 30th Congress of the International Limnological Society (Montreal, August 2007) and at Lake Champlain: Our Lake, Our Future (Burlington, VT, January 2008).  Select conference title to view poster.

Habitat utilization by eastern sand darters (Ammocrypta pellucida) and channel darters (Percina copelandi) in the Winooski River, VT. Shannon O’Brien, Saint Michael's College.  2002.  This research was supported in part by a $500 research grant from the Lake Champlain Research Consortium, and funding from the Claire Booth Luce Scholarship Program.  This paper will be presented at the 2003 Lake Champlain Research Consortium Spring Student Symposium.

Habitat utilization by eastern sand darters (Ammocrypta pellucida) in the Poultney River, VT and NY. Shannon O’Brien, Saint Michael's College.  2001-2002.  This paper was presented at the 2002 Northeast Natural History Conference, at the Lake Champlain Research Consortium Spring Student Symposium, and at the Spring Annual Meeting of the Lake Champlain Research Consortium. This research was supported in part by a $500 research grant from the Lake Champlain Research Consortium, funding from the Claire Booth Luce Scholarship Program, and by funding from The Nature Conservancy.
