Eung Ho Park creates paintings, sculptures and instillations to express himself through the field of art. Eung Ho Park spent the summer of 2001 as a participant of the Artist in Residence program.
As a result, the college obtained the interesting work of art, Sperm Spoons.
In this piece, spoons were actually taken from the St. Michael's cafeteria in Alliot Hall. Eung Ho Park then heated the spoons to bend them in different ways, and covered the spoon part in epoxy resin to later mount them on a board/frame which now hangs in the cafeteria.

Student Interpretation of the Sperm Spoons art:
"Sperm Spoons is now my personal favorite piece of work hanging in the cafeteria. To me it is a representation of the most recent transitional phase of my life. The artist decided that our fairly artificial dining hall was in need of some natural biology. Why not create a visual of sperm, a natural and sexual image? He even used spoons from our cafeteria to create it, creating a blurred line between synthetic and organic.
Looking at a piece of work such as this one, there is the initial shock value, but there is more than meets the eye. The wonderful thing is that I have finally reached that stage un my life where the people areound me have interest in trying to figure out what they are really looking at. Being the young adults that we are, we now have a certain spark of interest that makes us want to examine things closer and learn more. This glimmer of inspiration was not present in high school. For me, Sperm Spoons will always be a testament of this advancement." -Jeremy Steward '10
