Richard Smith was born in England in 1931 but lived most of his life in the United States. Some of his work is displayed in the Concord Lounge at JFK airport in New York and an article appeared in Art in America in the July 2001 issue titled "Richard Smith at Jay Grimm" by Joe Fyfe.
