Artist-in-Residence
Saint Michael's College Summer
Artist-in-Residence Program
Between 1996 and 2005, Saint Michael's College invited professional artists to spend between four and ten weeks at the College. They were provided with room, board, and private studio space in an historic 19th-century cavalry building with tall ceilings and ample light.
In exchange, each resident artist was required to donate a significant work of art to Saint Michael's Collection.
Several social events were organized to help visiting artists meet students, faculty and local art professionals throughout the summer.
The program was replaced in 2006 with a Fall visiting artist program.
