Web exercises to do for 21 May

Since this is the first time you'll be doing this, here are some basic instructions.

1. When you click on the link for a chapter, you'll go to the directory of exercises for that chapter on the Web. You are welcome to do any exercises you wish, as long as you don't try an exercise before we have studied the point it covers in class! Exercises are listed in the frame at the left side of your screen. Choose one of the exercises I have assigned, and follow the instructions.

2. Most exercises have a "hint" you can click on if you need some help, and choose the answer you think is right, fill in the blank, etc., according to the instructions. [See the instructions on how to make accented letters before writing.]

3. After you do the exercise, click on the button reading "Submit my answers for grading" to indicate you want to have it corrected.

3. Look at the corrections and explanations, and print them out if you think they might be useful.

4. Follow the instructions for giving your e-mail address (if you want to have your own copy sent to you) and my e-mail address, especially, (amcconnell@smcvt.edu), so that your exercise will be sent to me, and you'll get credit for doing it.
