House of the Head

"The Head should be accorded His due

This is the oracle's charge to the one thousand seven hundred divinities

Who must render annual tributes to Olodumare"3

The emphasis on the head (Ori) in Yoruba culture is in recognition of the Supreme Being, Olodumare.  Sometimes called Oba Orun, the King of Heaven, and Olue Iwa, Lord/Head of Existence.4
