The Northeastern Section is continuing a Section NExT program for new and relatively new colleagues at this year's SPRING Section meeting. By providing talks and workshops on issues of interest, opportunities to meet and share ideas with other new colleagues, and an introduction into Section activities, we hope to assist new faculty in their transition from graduate school to professional academic life.
Dick Jardine, professor at Keene State
College and editor of a recent MAA Notes volume, "From
Calculus to Computers", will speak on "Mathematics
History in Every Course".
Lunch will be provided, so
please indicate if you are planning to attend this session
on your preregistration form.
The Section NExT program will take place from 12:00-2:00 on Friday, May 30, 2008. Please indicate your attendance on your pre-registration form.
